Board of Directors

Metro’s Board of Directors is made up of appointees from each of Metro’s member communities: Brunswick, Falmouth, Freeport, Gorham, Portland, South Portland, Westbrook, and Yarmouth. The Board of Directors approves Metro’s annual budget, hires and oversees Metro’s Executive Director, and acts as liaisons between Metro and member communities. Board representation is proportional to a community’s population and Metro service profile within that community. Metro’s committees typically meeting monthly and the full board meets quarterly. • Greater Portland Metro holds meeting of the Board of Directors (and it’s committees) in hybrid format, both in person at Metro’s offices and via webinar.
• Metro Route 1 provides direct service to Metro’s Administrative Offices.
• Meeting dates are subject to change. Please check website prior to meeting.
• All Metro Public Meetings welcome public comment. There is a three minute time limit per attendee.
• Please note that requests for interpreters must be received at least five business days prior to a meeting. 
• Minutes are available following approval.
