Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 requires that agencies receiving federal money develop and implement plans to ensure that agencies receiving federal funding develop and implement plans to ensure that no one receiving benefits under a federally funded program is discriminated against on the basis of race, color, or nations origin. FTA requires all recipients document their compliance by submitting a Title VI Program once every three years.
METRO's most recent program was submitted in April 2016.
The 2019 updated Title VI program must be updated and approved by the recipients board of directors prior to submission due date to FTA of April 1, 2019
