Committees

Metro’s Board of Directors is made up of appointees from each of Metro’s member communities: Brunswick, Falmouth, Freeport, Gorham, Portland, Westbrook, and Yarmouth. The Board of Directors approves Metro’s annual budget, hires and oversees Metro’s Executive Director, and act as liaisons between Metro and their communities. Board representation is proportional to a community’s population and Metro service profile within that community. Metro’s Board and committees typically meet each month.
